The project comprises of
- The diversion structure has been located across Yargyap Chu at 790 m downstream of the confluence of Shilagamma Nallah and Yargyap Chu. The diversion barrage is designed for permeable foundation. The river bed level at this location is at El. 1880.0 m.
- The proposed HRT (6.4 m Horse-Shoe shaped, Concrete lined) of length works out to 371 m.
- a 5.20 m diameter circular steel lined pressure shaft shall be provided
- The units are spaced at 14.50m centre to centre and then the powerhouse size works out to 66.54 m (L) x 17.0 m (W) x 41.85 m (H).
- A free flow D-shaped tailrace tunnel of size 5.75 (W) x 6.75 (H) m has been provided
